The Extraordinary Life
of Miss Baker

This double-sided cylinder-shaped poster shows an infographic about the life of a space monkey called Miss Baker. Miss Baker was a squirrel monkey who in 1959 became, along with female rhesus macaque Able, one of the first two animals launched into space by the United States and safely returned. They even made it to the cover of LIFE magazine. Even though this sounds very captivating, these cruel practices are happening to date, with NASA’s experiments about liveability on Mars which they once again use animals for. The inner side of the cylinder shows this dark side.
